Grant Clinic
Writing a foundation or corporate grant proposal can take an average of 25-30 hours and cost $2,500 -$3,000. This can be money well spent - especially if you use Abdale Consulting!
However, we also offer the following alternative for almost half the price:
- ½ hour review of an RFP or the basis of a boilerplate;
- ½ hour telephone consultation to discuss the most strategic approach;
- You write the bulk of the proposal and Abdale Consulting reviews, edits and polishes it;
- ½-1 hour telephone consultation to discus the final edits and comments.
Whether we write the proposal from scratch, or contribute strategy and edits, you get a strong, well-written proposal with compelling language that can be used in other communication efforts such as brochures, web content, newsletters, direct mail, policy statements, etc.
Government grant proposals are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Organization Scan
For only $1200, we help you and your organization’s leadership to identify strategic issues and opportunities. This does not replace a full strategic planning process but it can help point the way or help you through a challenging time. Afterwards, if you choose Abdale Consulting to help lead your strategic planning process, the Organization Scanning fee is deducted from the final invoice.
A typical scan includes:
- Three 1-hour interviews with the executive director, board chair and one key staff person (i.e. chief development officer, policy director, etc.);
- Financial review of short-term cash flow needs, current revenue/expense projections, and most recent financial statements;
- Quick communications audit and program review;
- General development audit;
- Written recommendations for next step activities which may, or may not, include our services.
